Permits may be:
- Approved as requested
- Approved with modifications
- Denied
Standard Tree Permit Applications
A Standard Tree Permit Application is required for work on public trees in Racine, including:
- Planting
- Pruning
- Removal
This ensures all work follows city ordinances, safety standards, and best practices.
- Submission: At least 30 days in advance
- Permit validity: 90 days
- Cost responsibility: Permit holder
Annual Tree Permits
Designed for utilities and companies whose ongoing work (excavation, trenching, maintenance) may impact public trees.
- Covers approved activities for the entire calendar year
- Ensures compliance with city ordinances, safety standards, and proper tree care
