A public event is a planned, special occurrence on public park property that requires exclusive use of the property and has community-wide appeal. Examples include festivals, runs/walks, concerts, ceremonies, fairs, and shows.
Small private gatherings — such as birthday parties or neighborhood block parties — generally do not require this application.
